Donovan announces Democrat Party supportMay 16,2012
BURLINGTON — Chittenden County State’s Attorney T.J. Donovan has announced he has the support of the Vermont Democratic Party in his campaign for attorney general, but incumbent William Sorrell also expects to get the party’s backing.
Sorrell said the Democratic Party often endorses more than one candidate.
Sorrell said the backing at Saturday’s meeting is a way to eliminate candidates who are not legitimate Democrats. He said he expects to get the party’s endorsement as he has in the past.
