Doris A. Fowler

WILDER — Doris A. Fowler, 86, died May 6, 2012, at Brookside Nursing Home in Wilder.

She was born Oct. 16, 1925, in New Haven, Conn., the daughter of Charles P. and Agnes (Bresnan) Ryan.

She graduated from Commercial High School in 1943.

Mrs. Fowler worked as a secretary for Stowe Area Association for a time. She then was employed at Mountaineer Motor Inn and retired in the early 1980s from Havog Industries in Colchester.

She enjoyed watching television.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Fowler of Wilder, whom she married in 1967 in Plainfield; two children, Thomas Hill of Burlington and Joanne Hill of Denver, Colo.; and three grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Lincoln and Kenneth Ryan.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction followed by burial in Christian Street Cemetery in Wilder.
