    Town budget

    Proposed $1,083,000, $25,000, or 2.3 percent, more than this year’s budget of $1,057,000.

    Budget includes a $50,000 increase for debt service on flood recovery repayment.



    Highway budget

    $589,500, $22,000, or 3.5 percent, less than this year’s budget of $611,000.



    School budget

    $1,950,000, $83,000, or 4.1 percent, less than this year’s budget of $2,033,000.

    Budget includes a $19,000 decrease for benefits and staff development.



    Special articles

    Shall the residents of the town of Moretown appropriate $10,000 for repair and upkeep of town bridges?

    Shall the residents of the town of Moretown appropriate $5,000 for additional law enforcement?

    Shall the residents of the town of Ira appropriate $13,500 for updated radios for the fire department, to meet new FCC requirements for Narrowband frequencies?

    Meeting location

    Moretown residents will gather for a floor meeting at the Moretown Elementary School at 9 a.m. on March 6. Election of town officials, and appropriation requests of more than $5,000, will take by Australian ballot from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Moretown Elementary School.
