BRATTLEBORO — Police in Brattleboro have arrested a truck driver, saying he drove over a car in town and took off.

Police said 32-year-old Amber Brown, of Guilford, was in a Volkswagen waiting for a stoplight Thursday afternoon when witnesses said a tractor-trailer drove up and over the hood of the car. Brown was taken to a hospital; her condition was not immediately available.

Police arrested 31-year-old Sunil Kunwar, of Los Angeles, a short time later. He was charged with careless and negligent operation and with leaving the scene of an accident.
