EAST MONTPELIER — A Northfield woman was cited on suspicion of driving under the influence in East Montpelier on Sunday night.

While on routine patrol, state police stopped Jean Andreson, 61, for allegedly exceeding the speed limit just after 10:30 p.m. on Route 2. During the stop, troopers determined that Andreson had been drinking.

She is to appear in Barre criminal court on Feb. 23 to face the charge.
