Police cow can be positive
The faulty police decals with pig-shaped cow spots present a wonderful opportunity to show Vermonters’ strength, and humor, in the face of adversity. Here’s another chance to live Vermont Strong, a chance to make lemonade from life’s lemons.
First, and most importantly, the vast majority of Vermonters respect and appreciate our police force. They are hardworking, helpful more than scary, and our neighbors. The derogatory term “pig” is clearly not an issue in our state; if anything the antic will reveal how much we do care about our troopers.
Next, why waste taxpayers’ money? Why not save every decal possible and sell them for twice their cost, making them collectors’ items like “Who’s afraid of the Doughboy?” (remember Ben & Jerry’s early days?) and “Eat More Kale.” Honestly, the pig is cute and the antic ranks in chutzpah with the time a clown threw a pie at Gov. Douglas. This is pushing it, but what if the unique cow became a permanent mascot for our police, showing folks how well we take a joke?
So please let me know where I can send my check and how much to have at least three of those cute pig-cows. I hope we can raise a bundle for the troopers who really do deserve our support.
