CALAIS — A two-vehicle accident in Calais on Wednesday night sent a Hardwick man to the hospital.

Vermont State Police report that Christopher Gravel, 31, was transported to Central Vermont Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries after the crash at the intersection of Route 14 and Sand Hill Road.

According to the police report, Blair Ciemiecki, 27, of Worcester, was turning south on to Route 14 from Sand Hill Road and pulled out in front of Gravel, who was traveling north on Route 14 and was unable to stop his vehicle.

Both men’s vehicles sustained major damage in the collision.
