Report confirms Entergy's failure

I wanted to respond to the report released last week that found Entergy at fault for radioactive leaks at Vermont Yankee. It was done by an independent consulting agency for the Legislature, and serves as yet another reason that Entergy can't be trusted. They place their profits before anything else and are running the four-decade-old reactor into the ground.
The report found that Entergy could be doing more to maintain Vermont Yankee, and that the reactor will be susceptible to leaks in the future. We all know why the plant is falling apart. It is old and brittle, and Entergy refuses to invest money to maintain it.
There is no reason for Vermont Yankee to run past its retirement date of 2012. It needs to be closed down so that we no longer have to worry about Entergy's incompetence and mismanagement.
