BURLINGTON (AP) — The Vermont Principals' Association has voted to accept a corrective action plan filed by Missisquoi Valley Union High School, which had three players ejected for hitting opponents from behind and into the boards.
In a 7-1 vote Tuesday, the group's standards committee accepted the plan after hearing from the school's administrators and coaches.
The Burlington Free Press reports that referees have been cracking down on hitting from behind this year, with five ejections this season.
Under VPA rules, any time a team has more than two ejections, it must appear before the standards committee to show what it's doing to correct those involved.
