GRAND ISLE (AP) — State Rep. Ira Trombley has passed away. He was 57.
A fellow lawmaker, state Rep. Mitzi Johnson, says Trombley — who recently suffered a foot infection — was found unresponsive in his home by a family member Sunday. Minor Funeral Home, in Milton, confirmed his death.
Vermont Democratic Party Chair Judy Bevans says the Grand Isle Democrat was a passionate public servant who will be dearly missed. Johnson tells the Burlington Free Press that services will be held after the new year.
Trombley is survived by his wife and three children.
