Man admits stealing Vermont trooper's gun

ISLAND POND (AP) — An Island Pond man has admitted stealing an assault rifle from a state trooper last year.
Twenty-year-old Sean Gravel has pleaded guilty to possession of a stolen gun.
WCAX-TV says the M-16 rifle was stolen from a police cruiser parked outside the trooper's home in Brighton in August of 2008.
Police say the gun was fired at a Derby business and garage later that day.
