NEWTON, Mass. – Sophomore Antonio Davis matched his career-high with 25 points and grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds, but it was not enough as the Norwich University men's basketball team dropped an 84-71 decision to Lasell College in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) game Tuesday evening.

The first five minutes of the game went back and forth, with Norwich clinging to a 12-11 lead at the 14:54 mark. The teams traded baskets over the next three minutes, with the Lasers holding a 25-20 advantage with 7:53 to play in the first half. A pair of three-pointers by Theard helped Lasell opened the second half on a 9-2 spurt to seize a 54-31 lead at the 16:26 mark. Norwich used 17-6 run over the next seven minutes to close to within 12 points (60-48) at the 9:13 mark, but Lasell answered with a 15-3 run to build its largest lead of the game (75-51) with 5:19 to play. Two threes by Williams keyed a 13-2 Norwich burst, which whittled the Lasell lead down to 77-64 at the 2:26 mark.
