MONTPELIER – A Williamstown man was sentenced Thursday on six counts of petty larceny related to Medicaid fraud.
James Rushford, 44, got a suspended jail sentence and was placed on five years of probation, according to the Vermont Attorney General's Office.
Rushford also will be required to repay more than $9,000 to the Vermont Medicaid program and perform 40 hour of community service.
As a personal care attendant, Rushford submitted false time sheets and received payment for services never rendered, officials said.
