Predators skate to sixth straight win

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Martin Erat scored two goals and the Nashville Predators beat the Detroit Red Wings 3-1 Monday night for their sixth straight victory.

The streaking Predators finished off a five-game homestand in style and have won 10 of 12 overall.

Jason Arnott also scored a power-play goal for Nashville. Pekka Rinne, who has been in net for each game during this run, stopped 30 shots for the win.



Penguins 3, Panthers 2, OT

SUNRISE, Fla. — Sidney Crosby scored on a power play at 3:07 of overtime and the Pittsburgh Penguins rallied from a two-goal deficit in the third period to beat the Florida Panthers 3-2 Monday night.

Pascal Dupuis and Michael Rupp also scored for the Penguins, who won consecutive games in regulation for the first time since Oct. 17 and 20. Evgeni Malkin had two assists.



Rangers 7, Blue Jackets 4

NEW YORK — Marian Gaborik again sparked the Rangers' offense with two goals and two assists, but this time he had lots of long-awaited help in New York's 7-4 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday night.



Islanders 4, Maple Leafs 3, OT

TORONTO — Dwayne Roloson made 58 saves and Josh Bailey scored in overtime to lift the New York Islanders to a 4-3 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday night.



Senators 4, Capitals 3, OT

OTTAWA — Mike Fisher scored 1:14 into overtime, giving the Ottawa Senators a 4-3 victory over the Washington Capitals on Monday night. Fisher batted Chris Phillips' centering pass out of the air for his 10th goal of the season.

Alexandre Picard scored Ottawa's second goal in a span of 4:20 on a power play 7:40 into the third to tie it at 3.

Peter Regin gave the Senators a 1-0 lead 7:27 in before Ottawa allowed three straight goals to fall behind by two.
