These are some of the calls received by the Barre Police Department from Nov. 8 – 14:



Nov. 16

A shed was reportedly broken into on Country Way.

A male reportedly stole a 40 ounce beer from a location on South Main Street.

A burglary was reported on Tremont Street and cash was taken. The caller said the residence also had been burglarized the week before.

A vehicle was reportedly broken into on South Main Street. Computer speakers and a remote car starter were stolen.

A caller said her cat was stolen from a Harrington Avenue location.

Nov. 15

A dog reportedly attacked some rabbits on Eastern Avenue.

A caller said she was hit over the head at a bar on Eastern Avenue about a week ago. The caller said she was intoxicated now and will fill out statements and talk to an officer when she hasn't been drinking.

A $42.68 gas drive-off was reported at a North Main Street location.

A caller said someone broke into her Maple Avenue apartment and stole all her DVDs and CDs.



Nov. 14

A car reportedly left the scene of an accident on River Street.

An attempted burglary was reported on Summer Street.

A two-car accident was reported on Elm Street.

A 37-year-old male reportedly fell down a flight of stairs on Elm Street.

A caller said they were assaulted on Harrington Avenue.



Nov. 13

A two-car accident was reported near City Hall Park.

A drunk man in a plaid coat was reportedly stumbling in traffic on South Main Street.

A caller said he thinks someone is stealing his mail on East Street.

A two-car accident was reported on North Main Street near Rite Aid.



Nov. 12

Police received numerous reports of a dead deer on Washington Street.

Police received a report that two kids were just leaving Rite Aid on North Main Street after shoplifting.

A fight was reported on North Main Street near City Hall Park.

A caller said someone stole $5,000 worth of heating equipment from his garage.

A caller said they were assaulted on Maple Avenue.

A caller reported a bad check at a Washington Street location.

Two suspicious-looking people in black hoodies were checking doors on cars on Merchants Row, a caller said.



Nov. 11

Two teenagers were reportedly going through vehicles on Westwood Parkway.

Mail was reportedly stolen on Allen Street.

A car was reportedly rifled through on Jacques Street.

A bicycle was reportedly stolen from a back yard on George Street.

A car was ransacked the previous night on Perry Street.



Nov. 10

Barre City police assisted with an attempted burglary at the Brookside Country Store on East Montpelier Road in Barre Town.

A caller said her medications were stolen the previous night on North Seminary Street.

Vehicles were reportedly gone through on Portland Street.

A caller said she believes her landlord entered her apartment on Fairview Street without notice.

A caller said they were assaulted on North Main Street.

A caller said they witnessed four people do a drug deal on North Main Street.

A car was reportedly broken into on Seminary Street while the complainant was out for dinner. A camera was reported stolen.

A backpack was reportedly stolen on Prospect Street.

Two people were reportedly checking vehicles on Washington Street.

A caller said someone broke into his apartment on Summer Street.



Nov. 9

Thefts were reported at a South Main Street location.

A gas drive-off worth $45.31 was reported on North Main Street.

A caller said he had a saber saw stolen from a shed on Prospect Street that had been secured.

Malnourished cats and dogs were reported on King Street.

A problem with students and Facebook was reported at Spaulding High School.

A caller said their daughter was assaulted on South Main Street.

A gas drive-off worth $41.47 was reported on Washington Street.

Someone reportedly sprayed shaving cream on a vehicle on Bergeron Street.

Two males were reportedly beating on another male on North Main Street.

A drunk male was reportedly smashing bottles on Summer Street.



Nov. 8

A male with a gun was reported in a parking lot at a Prospect Street location.

A caller said she was choked by a male at a Highgate Drive location and wants to press a domestic assault charge.

Vandalism was reported on Hooker Street.

An assault was reported on North Main Street on front of the courthouse.
