Northfield man helps female juvenile runaway

NORTHFIELD – A 21-year-old Northfield man is facing charges of custodial interference and unlawfully sheltering and aiding a runaway after he was arrested over the weekend, according to a news release from the Northfield Police Department.
Matthew Amell was arrested after police received an anonymous tip that a runaway juvenile was at Amell's parent's house on Preston Drive in Northfield. Police said they found the female juvenile and Amell and took them into custody.
The Department for Children and Families took the juvenile into custody and Amell was cited to appear in court.
