WOODBURY – A Hardwick teen who crashed an all-terrain vehicle in Woodbury on Tuesday evening was taken to a local hospital for injuries to his legs, according to the Vermont State Police.

Matthew Moulton, 15, was driving near 51 Buck Lake Road in Woodbury when the headlight fell off his 1984 Yamaha three-wheeler, police said in a news release. Before Moulton could stop, he had to swerve to avoid hitting a tree, which caused the three-wheeler to tumble about 25 feet down an embankment, police said.

Moulton, who was taken to Copley Hospital in Morrisville, was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, said police.

Three Wheelers are NOT ATV's.

They are very dangerous. Driving at an excess of speed where you will need to "Swerve" anything is extremely dangerous.

Three wheelers do not operate like ATV's or Four Wheelers.

Most ATV's (Four wheelers) will lose traction before toppling. Three wheelers will go onto 2 tires and topple before losing front end or rear end traction.

Extremely Dangerous.

Parents.. Keep your children off three-wheelers from the 70's and 80's. They are not in production for a reason. They should only be driven by people that FULLY understand their weaknesses.
