These are some of the calls received by the Montpelier Police Department from Sept. 4-9:



Sept. 4

Alarm going off at Humanities Council on Loomis Street.

Caller complained of being cut off by vehicle with a government plate around Memorial Drive.

Report of identity theft over the internet from New York City woman.

Complaint that vehicle with Purple Heart license plate was tailgating another car on Berlin Street and Hebert Road.

Attempting to serve a no trespass order on Montpelier man.

Man just left Christ Church, extremely agitated.

Vehicle just backed into another and left the scene on Berlin Street.

Bad check written at Berlin Veterinary on Barre Street.

Suspected shoplifter reported at Hunger Mountain Co-op.

Vehicle parked in no parking zone on Wilder Street

Young kids are running on top of bridge trestle on Langdon Street.



Sept. 5

Bike stolen on State Street, chrome/red/Mongoose/dragon sticker/wheel guards.

Report of erratic driving on Barre and Main streets.

Caller cannot get to the ATM at Northfield Savings Bank on State Street.

Parent of student called about loud music on College Street.

Security check; kid on bike behind Tractor Supply Company.

Parked vehicle on Mechanic Street hit by another vehicle.



Sept. 6

Multiple 911 calls regarding some sort of altercation outside 108 Main St.

Neighbor on Mechanic Street has loud music on.

Vehicle repossessed from Montpelier man.

Burkley, a light yellow dog, slipped his collar on Elm Street.

Two dogs running in the road near the River Street roundabout.

Two dogs running loose in Towne Hill Road area, one golden retriever and a boxer.

Kayakers on Berlin Pond, which is closed to boaters.

Four customers at Julio's left without paying.

Five teens were tailgating and yelling on State Street.

Dog barking for some time on Pearl Street.

Jack Russell terrier barking loudly, ongoing, on Hill and Prospect streets.



Sept. 7

Black and white border collie lost on College Street.

Black vinyl bicycle seat stolen on Elm Street and Ballfield Drive.

Students met with officer as part of college course assignment.

Burglary alarm on College Street.

Burglary alarm at Montpelier High School.

Parked car hit on Main Street, other driver took off.

Window cracked at Riverwalk Records.

Vehicle moving at high speed and unsafe passing on East Montpelier and Gallison Hill roads.

Alarm at Tractor Supply Company.

Loud yelling at Economy Inn on Northfield Street.



Sept. 8

Juvenile reported missing on College Street.

Red Ford Ranger sitting in roadway, no lights, on River Street.

Neighbor reported that dog on Cross Street barks constantly.

Two display phones taken at AT&T store on Main Street.

Male going door to door, trying to raise money, on Hubbard Street.

Caller reported that vehicles are speeding again on Sherwood Drive.

Book "The Fortress of Solitude" was found on Stone Cutters Way.



Sept. 9

Male in his 20s seems agitated at Woodbury Mountain Toys.

Bad check received at Nearly New store on River Street.

Larceny from motor vehicle on College Street.

Alarm at ATM at TD Banknorth on School Street.

Be on the lookout with Vermont State Police and Berlin Police for black Mercedes with black tinted windows.

Light on Memorial Drive and Main Street not working.
