CABOT – Vermont State Police say an intoxicated 18-year-old was taken to a local hospital after he crashed the vehicle he was driving in Cabot early Tuesday morning.
Dylan Dunbar of West Danville was released from the hospital with minor injuries after the one-vehicle crash on Route 2 at about 4:36 a.m., police said in a news release.
During an investigation, police said, they determined Dunbar's blood-alcohol level was .227, which is nearly three times the legal limit of .08.
Dunbar was issued a citation to appear in Vermont District Court in Barre to face a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was also issued civil violations for underage drinking and refusing to submit to a preliminary breath test, police said.
