WEST SWANTON – The internment service for Wayne Richard Johnson, who died at his home on Turkey Terrace, June 29, 2009, was held Thursday, July 2, 2009, at 1 p.m. in the Hope Cemetery in Barre. He was a longtime resident of East Montpelier.

Retired Monsignor Reid C. Mayo, former pastor of St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre, read the committal prayers.

The flag was presented to his wife, Gladys H. Johnson, by Bruce W. Judd of Barre American Legion Post #10.

Fellowship and luncheon followed at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Duanne and Dawn Johnson, in Plainfield.

The Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St., Barre was in charge of the arrangements.
