Berlin youth cited for driving 115 mph

A 19-year-old Berlin youth was issued a citation after police clocked him driving 115 miles per hour on Interstate 89 on Thursday night.
According to Vermont State Police, Christian Colgan was first clocked on Route 63 in Berlin at 78 mph in the posted 55 mph zone. The vehicle then drove onto I-89 at Exit 6, traveling south, at which point Colgan reportedly was traveling 115 mph.
He was stopped off Exit 5 in Williamstown and taken into custody without incident, police said. He was transported to the State Police Barracks in Middlesex for processing.
Colgan was issued a citation to appear at the Orange County District Court on Aug. 25.
