PLAINFIELD – A Barre man who allegedly exposed himself and solicited sex from two unwilling 15-year-old girls in Plainfield over the weekend is scheduled to be arraigned on charges of lewd and lascivious conduct in Vermont District Court in Barre next month.

It was the second time in a month that Trytton Jarvis, 19, was cited for that offense.

Jarvis was issued a citation to appear in court June 18 after both the girls whom he allegedly approached Saturday evening identified him from a photo lineup arranged by state police. The girls' names were not released.

According to police, Jarvis' photograph was included in the lineup because he was arrested in a similar incident in Duxbury late last month and he matched the physical description provided by the girls.

In addition, they said the girls described a vehicle that was similar to the one Jarvis had driven in Duxbury.

State police were called to Plainfield shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday after receiving a report that a "suspicious male" drove up to two 15-year-old girls who were walking along Route 2 into the village from Tim's Convenience Store. The male, later identified by the girls as Jarvis, allegedly offered them money to perform a sex act on him. The girls told police they refused and continued walking.

According to police, the male turned his vehicle around and again stopped next to the girls and renewed his offer while exposing himself. The girls again refused and left the area, police said.

The girls did provide police with a physical description of the man who stopped them and a vague description of his vehicle.

Based on that information police arranged the photo lineup and later located and cited Jarvis after both girls identified him.

Jarvis has not yet been arraigned on the charge stemming from a similar series of exchanges with a female who was walking along Route 100 in Duxbury on April 30. Although Jarvis did not expose himself to the woman, police said he did drive up to her twice and offer to pay her if she would perform a sex act.

He is scheduled to be arraigned on that charge May 28.
