WEST FAIRLEE – A 19-year-old Fairlee woman and her two passengers escaped serious injury when the van they were riding in rolled over and went down an embankment Saturday afternoon.
Anjelica Shattuck lost control of the vehicle at 12:22 p.m. as it turned onto Cross Road from Route 113 in West Fairlee, police said in a news release.
The 2004 Chevy Venture van sustained heavy damage from the rollover, but Shattuck and her two passengers – who police did not name – were not taken to the hospital, police said.
The three occupants of the van were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash, police said, and the roads were dry.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
