MONTPELIER – A fire at a vacant house in Bradford was called in at 4:45 a.m. on Saturday after a neighbor smelled smoke.

Officials of the Bradford Fire Department determined the fire was outside 174 High St., a property owned by Kelli Hoisington of Las Vegas, Nev., when they arrived at the scene.

Fire departments from West Newbury, Haverhill Corner, N.H., and Piermont, N.H., responded to assist with putting the fire out. No one was injured as a result of the blaze that caused about $80,000 in damage. Vermont State Police were contacted for an investigation into the origin of the fire.
