Worcester woman's car collides with tree

DUXBURY – A woman driving down Route 100 in Duxbury veered off the road Wednesday and collided with a tree, state police said.

Gloria Colby, 63, of Worcester, told police that another car crossed the center line into her lane. She swerved to miss the car and hit the tree sending her and her juvenile passenger to the hospital to be treated for minor cuts, said police. Waterbury Fire and EMS responded to the accident along with state police at 10:44 a.m. on Wednesday.

The other vehicle is unknown, but was described as a dark-colored sedan with Vermont license plates. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 229-9191.
