BARRE – Emily George and Daniel Knup were married Aug. 9, 2008, in a double-ring ceremony performed by the Rev. John McDermott at St. Monica Church in Barre.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Bonnie George of Barre.
The groom is the son of Stephen and Maureen Knup of Brookfield.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Katie George, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. April Putney, Sarah Knup, sister of the groom, and Abrianna Zorzi were the bridal attendants.
Jarrod Phipps was best man. Matt Regan, Michael Cook, and Kailen and Keegan Zorzi were the groomsmen.
A reception was held at Sugarbush Resort in Warren. The couple honeymooned in Hawaii.
The bride graduated from Spaulding High School in Barre in 2000 and from the University of Vermont in Burlington in 2004 with a degree in nutrition and food science and dietetics. She is a neonatal dietitian at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
The groom graduated from Canterbury School in New Milford, Conn., in 2000 and from Williams College in Williamstown, Mass., in 2004 with a degree in political science and economics. He is a consultant for Bain and Company in Boston.
They live in Boston.
