WINOOSKI (AP) — It's unclear if charges will be filed against a Winooski High School student who threatened to kill another student.
Police say the high school was locked down shortly before 3 p.m. after school officials learned of the threat.
The lockdown was lifted after the student who made the alleged threat was located and taken into custody.
The name of the student who made the alleged threat was not released. Police say they considered the student's threat credible because they knew he had access to firearms.
No one was allowed to enter or exit the building during the lockdown. Armed police from area police and the sheriff's department were at the school.
