WATERBURY – A Waterbury man crashed his car head-on into guardrails on Route 100 Saturday just after midnight and was taken to Central Vermont Hospital and treated for a minor head laceration.
State police responding to the accident discovered that Kristopher Kingsbury, 25, had driven off the road into the guardrails and when they investigated determined that Kingsbury was under the influence. A blood sample revealed his blood alcohol content at .214, more than twice the legal limit.
Kingsbury was cited for DUI and ordered to appear in Vermont District Court in Barre Jan. 29 to answer the charge.
