In Woodstock, the Woodstock Wasps had the inside-outside game to go with tough defense during a 68-51 victory over Oxbow in nonleague boys basketball on Saturday.

Mount Abraham 44,
Otter Valley 41
In Brandon, the Eagles took the lead late and held on, with Greg Scott leading the way with 19 points and Kyle Kayhart adding 12. Scott had his four 3-pointers in the first half, which the Eagles ended up winning 25-18. But the score was tied after three periods and late in the fourth before a transition bucket and free throw gave the visitors the lead for good.
"We've lost our last two games by three points (each) and the guys know now we can play," OV coach Bob Walsh said.
A small, inexperienced team at the beginning of the season, OV is looking for more offensive leadership; defensively, the Otters often hold opponents under 50 points. "Our defense is coming along nicely," Walsh said.
Rob Naylor led the Otters with 15 points, Joe Massores added 11 and Bradley Christian had five points and 14 rebouinds.
OV, 1-5, will host Windsor on Tuesday.
