How to help

To help the Youth Services Bureau and its Teen Parent Program, Joy Spontak suggests:
Adopt an imaginary family and once a week for the next six months, drop off a box of food filled with all the things they would like at your local food shelf.
Take good, used baby, children's and maternity clothes, cribs, furniture and strollers, to Women and Children First, 185 North Main Street in Barre (802-476-4413) or Heather's Nearly New, 62 River St., Montpelier, (802-229-4002). Call first; mention the Teen Parent Program's account. (You can also donate money to the accounts.)
Drop off toys for 0-3-year-olds, diapers, gift certificates for food and canned soup at the Youth Services Bureau, 38 Elm St., Montpelier.
