MONTPELIER - Wet and sleety snow flurries that began Sunday afternoon turned the Interstate and other main roads into slippery routes with numerous minor accidents and cars off the road reported.

Middlesex state police spent much of Sunday evening responding to cars that hit ledges or went off the Interstate or into the median, and a rollover was reported in Waitsfield, according to scanner traffic. No serious injuries were reported.

Vermont State Police issued a warning early Sunday evening for drivers to avoid traveling, if possible. State police down south said Interstates were treacherous beginning at the Vermont/Massachusetts border on I-91 all the way up to White River Junction and on I-89 from the New Hampshire line all the way to Randolph.
