CHARLESTON — Vermont State Police have found more bones near where some were found Friday, and are awaiting test results to see if they match a young man who disappeared in 2006.
Detective Lt. J.P. Sinclair said Saturday that the bones found earlier in the day are believed to have been from the same person whose skeletal remains were found Friday, and likely had been spread by wildlife.
Sinclair said it is likely to be a few days before police can determine if the bones are those of Nathan Currie of Charleston, who was 18 when he went missing in July of 2006.
Sinclair said a team of about 15 detectives and others found the additional bones Saturday while combing the same swampy area where a hunter discovered remains on Friday.
