MONTPELIER – Take a StoryWalk in the park, starting today. Until Dec. 8, visitors to Hubbard Park can enjoy the pages of "South" while walking the trails. The book is by award-winning cartoonist Patrick McDonnell.
In the book, a little bird wakes up to find all of his friends and family have gone south for the winter. A surprising friendship with Mooch the cat is what gets him on his way. The book is illustration only, no text. McDonnell is the creator of the comic strip Mutts.
Families can go on walks in the park to help the Thanksgiving feast digest and be entertained at the same time.
