BURLINGTON — Colin McIntosh and Maurice Joseph led a balanced attack with 17 points each as Vermont defeated Yale 89-58 on Tuesday night.
McIntosh scored 12 of his points during a 20-3 run that stretched a 22-18 lead to 42-21. Mike Trimboli had 16 points and 7 assists for Vermont.
Yale pulled within 51-37 with 15:25 to go, but the Catamounts (1-1) scored the next seven to push it back to 21.
