These are some of the calls police received from Nov. 10–16

Winter parking ban notices have been posted by the capital city police and tickets have been issued for non-compliance. The winter parking ban for designated areas is in effect until April 1.



Nov. 10

Speeders were reported on Main Street near Loomis Street.

Police received a call from a woman who had an unauthorized charge on her credit card.

A Jumping Jack (earth compactor) was reported stolen.

A backpack was reported stolen from Shaw's Supermarket on Nov. 6.

Police were called to the middle school for an out-of-control student.

A car alarm was reported for going off for about 15 minutes.

Police received a report of a strange, crazy-acting skunk in the caller's yard.

A tree was reported over the roadway of Route 100 and Stowe Street.

Police received a call about an out-of-control juvenile son smashing things on Hubbard Park Drive.

Individuals were reported having an argument on Main Street.



Nov. 11

One caller was concerned about an elderly male who was pulled over at Main Street and Towne Hill Road.

A Berlin Street business reported receiving two bad checks from the same person.

Casella Waste Management reported a vehicle parked in the lot since yesterday.

Police received a 9-1-1 call from the refuge phone at the high school.

A black Toyota was reported speeding and driving erratically.

Police received a request for patrols at River and Taplin streets because of vehicles passing the school bus.

A woman came to the police station to report she had gotten into a fight with a male subject.

Someone was reported setting off fireworks in the road in the area of Elm Street.

A Main Street resident called to report the coyotes are out.



Nov. 12

A male was reported on the roof outside the bedroom window of an Elm Street residence.

Police received a call about a tailgater who had an unrestrained child in the front.

A Loomis Street resident received a strange phone call from a delivery service.

A black Verizon cell phone in a black case was reported lost.

A city resident reported to the police station that he lost his post office box.



Nov. 13

Police received a report of an individual giving a bartender a hard time at a Main Street establishment.

A wallet found in the Walmart parking lot was brought to the police station.

Two green lights were reported out at the intersection of Memorial Drive and Bailey Avenue.

A white vehicle belonging to a NECI student was reported towed.

Police received a report that the street light at the foot bridge on Vine Street is out.

Police responded to a report of a gasoline leak on State Street.

Police received a report of a car off the road and into the ditch at County and Cummings roads.



Nov. 14

Police received a report of an alarm going off in the area of Barre Street.

A man reported his Honda Accord stolen.

Police received a request for traffic control while signal is changing at Memorial Drive and Bailey Avenue.

A piece of artwork was reported removed from a case at the high school.

Police received a call from a man whose pre-teen son is having ongoing problems.

A hypodermic needle was reported found at a playground on Cummings Street.

Under suspicious circumstances: a caller reported finding a flat piece of slate near the front door.

Police received a call about a purse that was left behind at the church.



Nov. 15

Loud people were reported in and out of house and cars on Jay and Main streets.

Police received a report of a left rear window of a car cracked, pin hole, on Barre Street.

A Franklin Street resident called to report they believe their truck may have been stolen.

A neighbor was reported playing loud music again on Prospect Street.

Police received a report from a Main Street business about a large, white dog with orange vest who defecated.

A Gould Hill Road resident reported hearing what sounds like rifle shots within the city.

A license was reported found in the crosswalk on Main and State streets.

Police received a call from a woman who lost her two dogs in Hubbard Park.

One caller was concerned about vehicles possibly running a red light on Berlin and Granite streets.

An Elm Street business reported they believe someone broke into the establishment.

A Terrace Street resident called about two dogs outside residence. The caller believed one of the dogs was hit.

A vehicle was reported partially in the roadway without lights.

An erratic vehicle operator with New Hampshire plates was reported.

Police received a report of some type of buzzing sound coming from the sewer on Dog River Road.



Nov. 16

Police received several calls about a loud alarm at the sewer plant.

A gasoline drive-off for $38.53 was reported by a State Street business.
