Car damaged in crash with deer on I-91

BRATTLEBORO — A collision on Intestate 91 Thursday afternoon killed a deer and damaged a car.
Police said Kathleen Hemmelrick, 41, of West Topsham was driving her 2005 Suzuki XL7 south in the passing lane near Exit 1 at about 3:30 p.m. when the deer entered the road from the median. Police said Hemmelrick stepped on her breaks, but could not avoid the deer
Police said the vehicle sustained moderate front-end and right-front fender damage and was towed from the scene.
