Thanks to all for help after fire

One week ago, my apartment and two others in one of Montpelier's beautiful old homes suffered a severe fire. It was a devastating loss and a significant trauma for the six of us that lived in the building and for the Benoits, the owners who loved and lost their historic homes.
But what came out of that day and what continues to rise above the smoke that decimated our apartments is an amazing, inspiring and humbling display of community. The greater Montpelier community of firefighters, emergency responders, neighbors and dear friends and colleagues who came to the resuce and pitched in that day (and still) speaks volumes about the kind of people I am lucky to live near and know.
I am especially grateful to Deputy Fire Chief Bob Gowans and (State Police Det. Sgt.) Mark Galle and their colleagues, many of whom I never met nor had the chance to thank in all of the blur that day. SO I wanted to say a sincere thank you to each of you who helped - and continue to help - in midst of this crisis. It has made such a difficult time much easier. And it makes me love this community even more. Thank you again.
