Man linked to multiple arsons held without bail

A man whom state arson investigators believe may be responsible for numerous fires at multiple locations in Lamoille County is being held at the Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield without bail.
Police said Donald Griggs, 22, is responsible for setting fires at Hutchins Street, Caplan's Shoe and Apparel and Darling Road, all in the town of Morristown over the past six months.
Police arrested Griggs on Dec. 4 and on Dec. 5 Griggs was arraigned in Vermont District Court in St. Johnsbury, where he faced arson charges in the above-mentioned cases.
Police also suspect Griggs of setting other fires in both recent and years-old cases and anticipate filing more charges against him.
