BARRE -- Flowers by Emslie and Company, a 110-year-old floral shop, will open this weekend at its new location in the city's historic fire station on 8 S. Main St.

While the primary tenant will be Valerie and Richard Beaudet's garden shop, other inhabitants include the Granite City Craft Gallery, the Firehouse Roasting Company and Cafe, the Vermont Firefighter's Museum, T-Ja's Studio, Wheeler Environmental Services and Amy Miller (a registered nurse).

In coordination with Barre Homecoming Days, the firehouse will be open to the public on Saturday and Sunday. Normal business hours will resume Monday.

The public is encouraged to stop by and visit over the weekend as part of Barre's Homecoming Days celebration.
