GRAFTON (AP) — The Grafton SelectBoard has voted not to put a resolution calling for the impeachments of President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney on its official agenda for town meeting.
But two board members who voted against adding the resolution encouraged residents to bring it up during the part of the meeting devoted to "other business."
Residents were divided about whether impeachment was a fit topic for town meeting.
"If this discussion is not worthy, I can't imagine what might be," said resident Dave Muelrath.
Carl Hughes said Grafton "shouldn't be solving all the world's problems."
The Dover selectboard also voted this week not to include an impeachment resolution on a Town Meeting warning.
It's expected that there, too, the issue will be brought up under other business.
