STOWE — A Stowe woman is facing DUI charges after she drove her car off of Route 100 near the Waterbury Fish and Game Club on Monday.

Allison Ladd, 19, sustained only minor cuts and bruises but refused to submit to a breath test after officers on the scene suspected she had been drinking before the crash.

Ladd lost control of her 1996 Ford Explorer just after 2 a.m., Monday, and drove off the road and 75-feet into a marsh.

She was transported to Central Vermont Hospital for evaluation and treatment for cuts on her face.

She was then taken to state police barracks in Middlesex and was cited into Washington County District Court on DUI charges after refusing the breath test.
