MOUNT HOLLY — Vermont State Police in Rockingham detected two illegal aliens during a motor vehicle stop on Friday.

The Vermont State Police Commercial Motor Vehicle enforcement team stopped a Wisconsin-registered tractor trailer and was stopped for speeding on Route 103 in Mt. Holly. Two occupants, Nemesio Ramirez, 30, and Hector Barajas, 33, both produced valid drivers licenses issued in the state of Wisconsin. The trooper asked dispatch to contact the U.S. Border Patrol to check on the immigration status of the two men. The trooper was advised to detain both men. The men were driven to Middlebury where they were turned over to the border patrol.
