BERLIN — Fans of Berlin author and novelist Thomas Christopher Greene's "Mirror Lake," a bestseller in the state in 2003, can look forward to the release of a new book this fall.

William Morrow, Green's new publisher, has announced that "I'll Never Be Long Gone" will be released October 1, 2005. The book has already been published in the United Kingdom and Italy."I'll Never Be Long Gone," like "Mirror Lake," is set in the fictional town of Eden, Vermont.

The novel tells the story of two brothers, their father's tragic death, and the family restaurant at the center of their lives.

Filled with rich descriptions of rural Vermont, the novel is being billed by the publisher as a "haunting tale of kinship, duplicity and redemption reminiscent of Anne Tyler's "Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant."

Sounds like a tasty read, you could say.
